Village of Albion Election Candidate Meeting

On Tuesday, March 20, 2018 the Village of Albion will hold an election for Mayor and 2 Trustees, all for 4 year terms. Contact Sandy Walter at (585) 589-9058 if you are interested in running. A vetting meeting for candidates will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 7:00 PM in the Kirby room of the Hoag Library. We hope to see you there!

NY-27 Candidate Events

Nick Stankevich and Nate McMurray are active Democratic Candidates for the NY-27 Congressional office. The following people have withdrawn their candidacy: Sean Bunny, Tom Casey, and Joan Elizabeth Seamans.

Candidates (current and new) are welcome to keep us up to date on their events. We’ll try to keep a running list here of local events (those within a 30-40 minute drive) that you can attend to find out more about each candidate. Please engage and support our candidates as we work towards replacing Chris Collins next year.

Fall 2017 Educational Forum

The Orleans County Democratic Party hosts our Fall Educational Forum on Wednesday, September 27, 7:00 PM, in the Curtis Room of the Hoag Library in Albion. This quarter’s topic is “Immigration and the Economic Vitality of Orleans County”.  We hope to see you there!

2017 Fall Dinner & Election Rally

On Saturday, October 28, 2017 the Orleans County Democratic Party will hold a Fall Dinner & Election Rally at the QWL Building, Washington Stree, Albion. Appetizers start at 5:00 PM and the dinner at 6:00 PM. Come and meet our local candidates in this Fall’s Election and also a special guest speaker: New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli.

***10/27 Update: A 2nd special guest is now scheduled to attend: New York State Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul.
