Dear Friends:

Who will prevail at the 2016 Democratic Convention, Senator Clinton, or Senator Sanders? In mid-May, with more primaries and a convention yet to go, it’s not yet decided. One thing we do know is that whichever of them wins the election will be facing what is now a very stubborn Republican Congress. This requires us to work our tails off to do everything we can by November to turn the Congress in a better direction. This is where you come in!   You can meet Diana at our House Party for her at our home in Clarendon on Saturday, June 11, beginning at 7:00 PM.

We are fortunate that Democrat Diana Kastenbaum has come forward to seek election to the Congress from our 27th District. Diana is the owner of a manufacturing business in Batavia, and is eager to represent us in Congress. She has been endorsed by all of the Democratic Committees throughout the district: Orleans, Erie, Genesee, Livingston, Niagara, Ontario and Wyoming. She also has the endorsement of the Working Families Party and the Women’s Equality Party. Diana represents the kind of voice we need in Washington. You can check out her web page at http://dianakastenbaum.com/

Much of our knowledge of candidates comes from the 10 second sound bites we hear on the news or the never ending political ads. Winning an election is obviously hard work, especially in this district. It takes money, organization and tremendous stamina on the part of the candidate to reach as many voters as possible. Our House Party will be a chance to meet Diana, and to interact with her in an informal setting. We are asking for a donation of $25-50 per person for this event, or $50-100 per family. Please feel free to donate more if possible, or less if necessary. Please feel free to invite any interested persons that you know to this event. The most important gift, of course, is making the commitment to vote on Tuesday, November 8th, and to encourage as many others as you can to vote with you as well.

Diana has graciously accepted our Orleans County invitation to come to our home in Clarendon and get to know some of our neighbors and colleagues. We hope you will be able to join us! Please help us plan for your attendance by using the enclosed return envelope. You may also contact us with an RSVP using the telephone number shown above.

PS – Of course there will be plenty of goodies and beverages to enjoy, plus an appearance by “Of the Bear”, an Orleans County band.
